Purpose of this guide<\/span><\/h2>\n

This guide provides information and instructs faculty editors and other relevant staff on the production procedures related to the annual publication of the University Handbook, including the ‘faculty information’ sections, and course, areas of study and unit entries. Additional notes and instructions regarding unit entries in the Handbook can also be found on the CUPID<\/a> website.<\/p>\n

Statement of purpose<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

This is the official site of the Monash University Handbook for course and unit information. Anything published elsewhere that is inconsistent with information provided in this Handbook is not accurate.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Handbook is the official statement of courses and units available for study at Monash University, published each academic year. Changes made after publication which might affect student enrolment or progression are recorded in the official change register. The Handbook sets out the requirements that must be satisfied for a student to be eligible for course completion and graduation.<\/em><\/p>\n

The course and unit details provided in this edition of the Handbook are for those students who commence their studies in [the current academic year] – students who began their studies prior to this should refer to the archived Handbook edition for the year in which they started their course. Archived Handbooks<\/a> are available online for 1995 to current. Handbooks prior to 1995 are available in hard copy from the University Library<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n
