His thesis, supervised by David Wood, is titled <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ms.unimelb.edu.au\/~mspayne\/MichaelPayneThesis.pdf\">Combinatorial geometry of point sets with collinearities<\/a>. Michael&#8217;s undergraduate degree was at Monash, where his honours thesis was supervised by Ian Wanless.
