Week end funny

I found this on the blog of Literery Agent Janet Reid.   It might be of use when reviewing student work.

Editing Symbols 3There are also some “lesser known editing symbols” and various reader contributions which are more related to reviewing fiction.   So not as applicable to us, on second thoughts it might be useful for [insert Faculty, Couse, Student name here].  Boom, Tsh.

I like the next Moodle

Thursday, June 14th, 2012

I quite like Moodle but I think the coolest thing about Moodle is the next Moodle (and the one after that).

Personally I have found Moodle to be a little unfinished.  2 things to note about that comment  – we are running 2.0 (upgrading soon), and my expecations are probably higher than the average user.  I have been playing with, implimenting, and managing LMSs for well over a decade.

The thing I’m most excited about in 2.2 is the improved ability to use mobile devices with Moodle and the ability to copy activities.

Moodle 2.3 is out in June.   For info on 2.3 watch the video below.  The big plus is the drag and drop file importing (file manangement is probably Moodles major achilles heel).
