Castan Centre In-House Internships &#8211; Applications Now Open<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The in-house internship program gives Monash Law students who are interested and passionate about human rights the opportunity to become involved in the work of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Interns will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of programs. These could include; research and writing on human rights projects, writing articles for the Castan Centre newsletter, and assisting with public education events such as lectures and the annual human rights conference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for applications <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications for both summer and first semester 2011 (part-time) must be submitted by 5 pm <strong>Friday 8 October, 2010<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There will not be interviews for the internships and students are expected to write a very brief cover letter only (no longer than 1 page).<\/p>\n<p>Details of selection criteria and the application process are available on the Castan Centre website, at:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.law.monash.edu.au\/castancentre\/internships\/in-house-internship.html\">www.law.monash.edu.au\/castancentre\/internships\/in-house-internship.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Students may apply for the following intakes:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Full Time Internships &#8211; Summer 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students can volunteer for 4-days a week for 3 weeks from Monday 7 February \u2013Friday 25 February, 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part-Time Internships &#8211; Semester 1, 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students can volunteer 1 day per week for 12 weeks.\u00a0 Volunteer dates for Semester 1, 2011 will be between Monday 28 February and Friday 27 May, 2010 (13 weeks, with one week off for mid-semester break).<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">3. Norton Rose Group &#8211; British Law Practice in Singapore<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Norton Rose will be accepting applications for the January \/ February 2011 placements throughout the month of October, 2010. \u00a0Applicants must have completed a full year of Law.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are two placements available, each for 3 weeks.
