CEFA-2011 Governor General&#8217;s Undergraduate Essay Competition<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Governor-General\u2019s Undergraduate Essay Competition is Australia\u2019s most prestigious civics essay competition. It is open to Australian undergraduate students (including LLB, JD and Honours students) studying in all faculties at universities across Australia and includes questions that are related to law, politics and other contemporary issues facing Australia. Now in its eighth year, Australia\u2019s most prestigious essay competition provides university students with the opportunity to be recognised for their academic skill, talent and research.<br \/>\nThe 2011 Competition is offering up to $33,000 in cash prizes to the winning authors of 2,500 word essays.<\/p>\n<p>This prestigious competition provides students with the opportunity to be further recognised for their academic skill, talent and research. Learning Skills Seminars at Clayton Semester 2<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Trish Hughes, the Learning Skills Adviser, is running Learning skills drop-in sessions and classes\u00a0again for Semester 2 .\u00a0 No bookings are required for the drop-in sessions and students just need to come to the Research and Learning desk in the Law Library on Wednesday and Friday 12-2pm, Week 1 &#8211; 13, at the Law Library, Clayton .<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0classes are on\u00a0 Mondays in 3rd Floor Meeting Room, Law Library, Clayton.\u00a0 The first four sessions are mainly\u00a0intended for students who are new to law, so the focus is on managing the reading and on taking notes as preparation for lectures and for exam summaries.
