LSS Survey About the Curriculum Review<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Law Faculty is currently undertaking a Curriculum Review, details of which can be accessed here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.law.monash.edu\/current-students\/combo-review-page.html\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.law.monash.edu\/current-students\/combo-review-page.html<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In order to best represent UG students&#8217; views, the Monash LSS warmly invites all UG students to participate in their survey which can be found at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/s\/lsscrsurvey\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.surveymonkey.com\/s\/lsscrsurvey<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 This survey, which will take about 10-15 minutes, will be open until midnight Sunday 21st August. Please don&#8217;t miss out on having your say in this important submission to the Law Faculty as\u00a0many of the issues will significantly affect current UG students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> The LSS JD representatives\u00a0are collecting the JD student\u00a0responses separately.<\/p>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">3. Marie Wallace Equity Bursary Applications Open Soon<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Marie Wallace Equity Bursary was established to assist students from the City of Knox area who are experiencing financial difficulty. Marie Wallace was Mayor of the City of Knox 3 times and a Councillor for over 20 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications Open Monday 1 August<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, applicants must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent resident      visa or permanent humanitarian visa, and<\/li>\n<li>A commencing or continuing undergraduate student, and<\/li>\n<li>Enrolled or intending to enrol in a full-time undergraduate degree      in the Faculty of Law at a Monash campus in Australia, and<\/li>\n<li>Able to demonstrate\u00a0<a title=\"Financial disadvantage\" href=\"http:\/\/www.adm.monash.edu.au\/scholarships\/applicants\/low-socio-economic.html\" target=\"_self\">financial      disadvantage<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A resident of the City of Knox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Selection criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Awarded on the basis of need to eligible applicants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Value and number available<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>$2500 one off payment. Melbourne East Disability Advocacy (MEDA) Seeking Volunteers<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Melbourne East Disability Advocacy (MEDA), is looking to recruit volunteer advocates to provide spokesmanship, practical advocacy, community inclusion and friendship to one person with an intellectual disability in the local community. Performance@law\u00a0 &#8211; Mindfulness for Academic Success<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Less stress. Better grades. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The MAS program, consisting of 5 weekly sessions, uses the latest mindfulness techniques to help students lower their stress levels and improve their grades. Mindfulness is an attention training practice which has been shown to improve concentration and enhance wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>The program uses specific mindfulness practices to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reduce stress and anxiety<\/li>\n<li>Overcome procrastination<\/li>\n<li>Maximise brain performance<\/li>\n<li>Learn how to learn better<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The program is free for all Monash law students and commences 11 am Friday 26 August.
