Census date for Juris Doctor units in Trimester 3, 2011<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The census date for Juris Doctor units in Trimester 3 2011 is\u00a0<strong>Friday 30 September 2011<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If a student discontinues a unit before the census date, the student will receive \u2018Withdrawn no-load\u2019 for the unit, which means:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financial \u2013 No financial penalty<\/li>\n<li>Academic \u2013 Recorded on transcript as \u2018WD\u2019<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a student discontinues a unit AFTER the census date but before the withdrawn fail date, the student will have \u2018Withdrawn late\u2019, which means 100% of fees will be retained and withdrawn will be recorded on the transcript. Monash Law Postgraduate Research Scholarships<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Closing date 31 October 2011<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Faculty of Law invites expressions of interest from Law graduates qualified to undertake postgraduate research leading to a doctoral degree.\u00a0 We offer the Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).\u00a0 Some scholarships will be available for suitably qualified candidates.\u00a0 Successful candidates will receive a\u00a0 non-taxable stipend for 3 years of full time candidature.
