1. 2012 Law Overseas Programs Prato\/Malaysia Information Session<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Find out how you can study overseas in 2012 at the Prato Centre, Italy or

2. New Unit – 2012 Research Practicum<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n


\nThe Faculty will offer a new Research Practicum Unit – an 18 day internship in one of 10 public sector agencies including Victoria Legal Aid, Victorian Auditor General’s Office, State Trustees, Public Interest Law Clearing House and the Red Cross. Dates of the placement are flexible, depending on the agency.<\/span><\/p>\n

The assessment is completion of a research project under the guidance of a field supervisor and participation in an assessed seminar program to support students’ projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

ELIGIBILITY:\u00a0 Later year students (ie those with\u00a0 48 points (or less) remaining to complete their LLB degree as at 1st March 2012) with a Credit average<\/span>
\nCLOSING CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS : 5pm WEDNESDAY 5th OCTOBER 2011<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3. S2 SETU Survey for UG Units<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The SETU online surveys for\u00a0 the S2 UG Units\u00a0 opened on 30th Sept and will close on Oct 28th so if you are\u00a0 undertaking\u00a0an\u00a0UG Unit can you please note that:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 <\/span><\/span><\/span>You\u00a0will\u00a0 get an email from the University\u2019s Quality area once the SETU surveys are ready for you\u00a0to complete. Please can you NOT\u00a0delete this email or filter it out. You\u00a0can access the SETU surveys via\u00a0 your\u00a0my.monash portal\u00a0 and they don’t take very\u00a0long to complete.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 <\/span><\/span><\/span>We would really appreciate it if you\u00a0could please complete a SETU survey for every\u00a0Unit in which you\u00a0are enrolled\u00a0\u00a0 –\u00a0 as we do really want to hear\u00a0your\u00a0views about your Units and we do use your\u00a0feedback to continually improve the quality of our\u00a0Units.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 <\/span><\/span><\/span>The online SETU survey has 2 parts \u2013 one is for\u00a0you\u00a0to rate the actual Unit and the other part is for\u00a0you\u00a0to rate the teaching within that Unit. You\u00a0may also make some comments about the Unit if\u00a0you\u00a0wish but please note that there is currently no section in the SETU survey for\u00a0you to make any comments about the teaching.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 <\/span><\/span><\/span>In the Unit comments section we would like you\u00a0to give us some constructive criticism and suggestions about how to improve the Unit. Please can you make sure that you do not\u00a0write any comments which<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

o <\/span><\/span><\/span>are of an offensive nature<\/span><\/p>\n

o <\/span><\/span><\/span>may breach the University\u2019s Equal Opportunity Policy which is at <\/span> http:\/\/www.monash.edu.au\/equity-diversity\/policies\/equal-opportunity-policy.html<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

o <\/span><\/span><\/span>refer specifically to individual teachers in a negative way.\u00a0 If these types of comments are made then the feedback from the SETU survey may not be able to be shared with the teaching team which then makes it\u00a0harder\u00a0for\u00a0us to improve the Unit. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00b7 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Comments which refer to the overall teaching in the Unit\u00a0without naming any individuals\u00a0are fine.\u00a0 Positive or complimentary comments are also fine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you very much for your assistance with this matter. We really do care about what you say and do strive to continually improve our Units based on your feedback to us.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. University of Cambridge New Law Programme<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n
