This event will focus on why it is important to ensure all individuals are defended, regardless of their actions and their standing in public opinion. The justice system is founded upon the rule of law. This can be quickly eroded through show trials or trials perceived as such. Adequate and impassioned defence and representation of unpopular minorities is imperative to maintain the rule of law over public or political priorities<\/p>\n
