Uni-Capitol Washington Internship Program (UCWIP)<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The Uni-Capitol Washington Internship  Program (UCWIP) gives Australian students the opportunity to intern with  offices of the United States Congress in Washington DC.  The internship  is 8-9 weeks long and commences in early-January to early-March.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">UCWIP interns have the rare opportunity to  work in environments such as Republican and Democratic offices and the  House and the Senate.   During the program interns are typically  encouraged to attend hearings and press conferences, go to briefings at  the US State Department and Australian Embassy and attend field trips to  significant locations such as Gettysburg National Military Park in  Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Successful applicants must enrol in either  Research Unit A LAW4173 or Research Unit B LAW4174 with your faculty as  you must receive credit towards your degree for this internship as it is  a requirement of your visa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">For information regarding eligibility  criteria, financial support and application process  please visit the following <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monash.edu.au\/students\/studyabroad\/programs\/internships.html\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
