Connecting with Law Short Film Competition<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Now in its fifth year, the Connecting with Law Short Film Competition is open to all students currently enrolled in an Australian Law School. Please note: Non-law students can be involved, however at least one student per group must be studying a law subject.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Choose at least one definition from the Oxford Australian Law Dictionary and create a 2-5 minute film based around the definition\/s that will educate and help other students connect with the law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">1st Prize \u2013 $1500<br \/>\n2nd Prize \u2013 $500<br \/>\n3rd Prize \u2013 $250<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Please see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oup.com.au\/higher_education\/law\/connecting_with_law_short_film_competition\">here<\/a> for the entry forms and submission guidelines. Seeking Open Day Volunteers<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Monash University Open Day for Clayton is on\u00a0<strong>Sunday 5 August, 2012<\/strong>. We are looking for student volunteers to assist on the day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">This will involve speaking with prospective students and their  families about your experience of studying at at Monash, giving  directions as well as helping out with the set up and pack up of the  equipment used on the day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Although these positions are voluntary roles, the faculty does  provide training and $50 vouchers for students who volunteer half a day  (9.00am \u2013 1.00pm OR 12.30pm \u2013 4.30pm) and $95 vouchers for students  who volunteer for a whole day (9.00am \u2013 4.30pm)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">If you have good communication skills, and a well rounded knowledge of the faculty and campus please email lauren.miller@monash.edu by <strong>Monday 2 July, 2012<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">In your email please include the following information<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>Full name and contact number<\/li>\n<li>Degree type and year<\/li>\n<li>Availability\n<ul>\n<li>Half Day (morning: 9.00am \u2013 1.00pm)<\/li>\n<li>Half Day (afternoon: 12.30pm \u2013 4.30pm)<\/li>\n<li>Full day (9.00am \u2013 4.30pm)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Method of entry into law (e.g. Straight from year 12, internal or external transfer)<\/li>\n<li>If you have volunteered at Monash Law Open Day before<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1.
