1. ECNA Leadership Opportunities<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0ECNA is expanding to Monash University, so this is your opportunity to be part of our enthusiastic team!<\/p>\n

\u00a0ECNA started with humble beginnings in 2007 at the University of Melbourne. We are a not-for-profit that encourages students to get involved in community organisations and skill development programs by only selecting those suitable for tertiary students. We categorise them by the nature of activities involved and also the skills developed during participation.<\/p>\n

2. Human Rights Act – Myth Busters<\/span><\/h4>\n

Since the National Human Rights Consultation Committee recommended that Australia adopt a Human Rights Act in October 2009, many of those opposed to an Act have waged an effective scare campaign against it. \u00a0In the course of the debate, we believe that the \u2018no\u2019 case has thrown up many myths about a Human Rights Act.<\/p>\n

In response, the Castan Centre will be sending out a new \u2018myth buster\u2019 each day over the next few weeks. \u00a0The myth busters are designed to counter many of the arguments made by the \u2018no\u2019 case.<\/p>\n

3. Law School Ambassador Program 2010-11: Applications Now Open<\/span><\/h4>\n

The faculty is pleased to announce applications are now open for the 2010-11 Law School Ambassador Program. Please see the web page for details, key dates to commit to and the application form:

4. 2010 Malaysia Program – Applications Now Open!<\/span><\/h4>\n

In July and August 2010, Monash University\u2019s Law Faculty offers a multi-unit study program in Malaysia together with its international partners City University of Hong Kong, University of Malaya and University of Windsor (Canada). \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0Date:<\/strong> Monday 5 July \u2013 Tuesday 24 August, 2010
\nApplications:<\/strong> By Friday 5 March, 2010\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exciting new Malaysia Law program is modelled on the award-winning Prato Law program and will be taught in intensive or semi-intensive mode. In small classes and state-of-the-art facilities, you can enjoy a unique study experience with students and academics from international and local partner universities.<\/p>\n

Studying at Monash Sunway allows you to immerse yourself into life of multicultural Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the South-East Asian region while studying a range of comparative and international law subjects.<\/p>\n

To help with the cost of travel, students can receive up to $2,500.00 from Monash Abroad.
\nSmall classes, with students from partner universities, including Hong Kong, Malaysia and Canada.\u00a0\u00a0
\nBe taught by academic staff from Monash and overseas universities.\u00a0\u00a0
\nThe program designed to allow students in Prato or Clayton in first semester and in Malaysia in semester two. \u00a0<\/p>\n
