1. Amnesty Executive Committee<\/span><\/h4>\n

Amnesty International Australia’s Monash University Clayton group is recruiting its 2013 Executive Committee – elections will take place at the AGM 12pm on Tuesday 9th October in L5 (Level 2 Law Building). Free pizza for members! Positions available: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and General Representatives. If you’re passionate about human rights and want to lead a movement of young people towards achieving Amnesty’s global objectives of ending mandatory detention, ensuring adequate regulation of global arms trade, ensuring key human rights are upheld and more, we would love to have you on the team. Please send your application to Andrea at amnesty@monashclubs.org by 10am on 9th October, detailing (1) your full name (2) course and year of total duration (eg. 2nd year of 4 year degree in Law) and (3) complete the following sentence: “I want to be on the 2013 Executive Committee as [insert position name here] because…”. 3. Summer Clerk Work Experience Opportunity<\/span><\/h4>\n

Belbridge Hague Solicitors are seeking two highly motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Law Students over the coming summer holidays to assist solicitors and gain invaluable experience in applying legal knowledge and skills to the resolution of real-life legal problems.<\/p>\n

A great opportunity to gain practical work experience and observe the different roles in a legal office. Duties include research, work on client files*, witnessing legal documents, sit in on interviews and Court appearances and using the language of Law in real situations.<\/p>\n
