{"id":4040,"date":"2013-03-12T11:39:28","date_gmt":"2013-03-12T00:39:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-blogs-monash-edu.pantheonsite.io\/lawstudentbulletin\/?p=4040"},"modified":"2013-03-15T12:31:47","modified_gmt":"2013-03-15T01:31:47","slug":"events-128","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.monash.edu\/lawstudentbulletin\/2013\/03\/12\/events-128\/","title":{"rendered":"Events"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: left\">\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">1. 2013 Three Minute Thesis Competition<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">How can you condense years of complex research into a three minute presentation that is interesting for a general audience?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">That\u2019s  the challenge that awaits graduate  research candidates entering the  Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition,  which is being held at every  Australian university and universities in  New Zealand, Asia and the  South Pacific.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Research master\u2019s and PhD candidates are now  encouraged to register for the Monash faculty rounds of the 3MT  competition. Faculty  round winners will then compete at the Monash  final, with the winner  representing Monash at the transnational final  at the University of  Western Sydney. Prizes will be awarded at the  faculty and central  level, with the Monash winner receiving $1,000 plus  an all-expenses paid  trip to the University of Western Sydney to  represent Monash.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Registrations open on 11 March and close at midnight on 24 May 2013. He is also an  Honorary Fellow of the Faculty of Law  at the University of Western  Australia. Formerly one of Australia\u2019s  leading native title lawyers,  David\u2019s books to date include Contesting  Native Title and The Native  Title Market. David is a regular contributor  of op eds to public debate  in Australia and is a columnist for the  London journal Global Policy. Merry Christmas Yuendumu\u2026And What a Riot it Was<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Monash University\u2019s Australian Centre for Justice Innovation (ACJI) invites you to a public seminar by <strong>Ippei Okazaki<\/strong> \u2013 Director, Community Justice Centre (NT) \u2013 and a launch of the online  release of Australasian Dispute Resolution, edited by Professor Tania  Sourdin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">This seminar will provide a unique  \u2018mediators perspective\u2019 of a Central Australian Indigenous community  coming to grips with: murders, lateral violence, tribal punishment, the  media, fake mediators and electronic ghosts \u2013 against what was a very  sad, but powerful 2 year journey for the Warlpiri people.
