Paris in the Spring!

The Faculty of Law and the Australian Centre for Justice Innovation are proud to announce that Monash University has been selected to participate in the 9th Annual International Chamber of Commerce mediation competition to be held in Paris on 7 -12 February 2014. The lucky students to represent the first Monash University team at this prized competition must be chosen no later than 3 November 2013. We are accepting applications from students who have taken Collaborative Law, Mediation, or Negotiation units. Although, the cost to participate in the competition (travel and accommodation) is largely self-funded, ACJI will help students raise money to put towards those expenses. We will also help explore sponsorship opportunities. ACJI will provide two coaches to assist to prepare the team and will provide on the ground support. Students will need to be available for coaching sessions at least once a week for the six weeks leading up to the competition. Please submit your CV, a short biography and a two-hundred word essay telling us why you would like to participate in the competition. Please submit these materials to suzanne.gremaux@monash.edu by midnight Friday 25 October 2013.

SETU surveys

The Student Evaluations of Teaching & Units (SETU) surveys are open for

• FY-01 Units – survey closes on 31 Oct

• S2-01 UG Units – survey closes on 3 Nov

* T3-38 JD Units- survey opens on 28 Oct and closes on 21 Nov

* T4-57 LLM Units – survey closes on 17 Nov.

The University will email you each week at your Monash email address to remind you to complete the SETU survey and they will do this until the survey closes or you complete it. SETU is an online survey of students each Semester that provides our staff with helpful information which they then can use to make informed decisions about continually improving the quality of their Units. Please note that Units in different teaching periods will get surveyed online at different times. We do value your feedback about our Units and we would really like to hear about what you think we are doing well and what still needs improving in each of our Units. We would really appreciate it please if you could complete a SETU survey for each Unit in which you are enrolled.
