1. 2015 Prato Program<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The 2015 Prato Program applications will open on Thursday 30 October, 2014<\/strong> and strictly close on\u00a0Friday 5 December, 2014.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note: <\/strong>All applications will be assessed together after the closing date of\u00a0Friday 5 December, 2014<\/strong>.\u00a0 They are assessed on the basis of the Law average and not first in, first served.<\/p>\n

2. CAMLA Essay Competition<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Communications and Media Law Association (CAMLA) essay competition to be held over the summer of 2014-15.<\/p>\n

The competition has been staged very successfully for a number of years and CAMLA is again offering a prize of $1,000 and a 1-year CAMLA membership.
\nThe winning essay may also be published in CAMLA\u2019s\u00a0Communications Law Bulletin <\/em>and will be awarded at a CAMLA function to be held in early 2015.
\nIt\u2019s a terrific opportunity for students and we would be grateful if you could draw the competition to the attention of anyone who may be interested.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the competition is to encourage high quality work in undergraduate and post-graduate communications and media law courses
\nand to improve links between those studying and those practising in the area.<\/p>\n

The prize will be given for a previously unpublished essay of between 1,000 and 3,000 words on a subject relating to communications or media law.<\/p>\n

Entries close on Wednesday 14 January, 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. Chief Justice Medal for Excellence and Community Service<\/span><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nominations have opened for the Chief Justice Medal\u00a0for Excellence and Community Service 2014.<\/p>\n

The prize shall be awarded to a LLB\/JD 2014 graduate who is judged to have demonstrated a commitment to community service throughout their law studies as well as excellence in scholarship.<\/p>\n

Monash has not had a winner since this medal was set up back in 2004, and we are keen to put forward a strong candidate this year.<\/p>\n
