Allocate+ JD Core Units Trimester 1, 2015<\/span><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/allocate.timetable.monash.edu\/\"><strong>Allocate+<\/strong><\/a> for\u00a0Trimester 1 2015 JD core units will be opened at<strong> 12 pm on Friday 21 November, 2014<\/strong>. Due to the set size of each class, once a stream is full there are no more places available.\u00a0 There are a few items to note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Students      are required to complete the self-allocation\u00a0<strong>by Friday 19      December, 2014<\/strong>and auto allocation into available streams will be made      thereafter for those who have not allocated themselves.\u00a0 Please note      that elective units do not need to be allocated.<\/li>\n<li>Please      refer to the\u00a0<a title=\"Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) timetables\" href=\"http:\/\/law.monash.edu.au\/current-students\/course-unit-information\/timetables\/postgraduate\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Master of      Laws (Juris Doctor) timetables<\/strong><\/a> prior to allocation to      ensure you have the latest version.<\/li>\n<li>Should      you wish to request for a stream change, you may submit a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/law.monash.edu.au\/current-students\/resources\/forms\/jd-application-to-change-lecture-streams-or-tutorial-group.doc\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Changing seminar streams or tutorial group      application form (doc, 73kb)<\/strong><\/a> form to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:law-pgstudents@monash.edu\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>law-pgstudents@monash.edu<\/strong><\/a> <strong>only      after Friday\u00a019 December, 2014<\/strong>.\u00a0 We will not be managing      change stream requests when Allocate+ is open as there is still movement      in the streams during this time.\u00a0 Please make sure that all sections      of the form are completed and supporting documentation attached.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">2. LAW5448 \u2013 Copyright x: Monash<\/span><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Law School will be offering the subject LAW5448 \u2013 Copyright x: Monash in conjunction with the Harvard Law School. The subject commences\u00a0<strong>late January 2015<\/strong> and is open as an elective for JD and Masters students. The subject can also be undertaken by non-Monash students as a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/law.monash.edu.au\/future-students\/postgraduate\/single-units.html\"><strong>single subject or as a cross-institutional subject<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Students will be required to view each week a video lecture by Prof William Fisher of the Harvard Law School. He will be concurrently teaching the subject to his Harvard law students, as well as offering the subject as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and as a subject taught in conjunction with Monash Law School. The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Master of Laws (LLM) Programmes Global Scholarships<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Chinese University of Hong Kong\u2019s Faculty of Law will award three Global Scholarships in the academic year 2015 \u2013 2016 to students from all over the world to study in one of the LLM Programmes below. Each Global Scholarship is worth up to a maximum of HK$181,120 (approx. US$24,500). If awarded, a full Global Scholarship covers the tuition fee of HK$111,120 (approx. US$14,240) as well as a living stipend of HK$80,000 (approx.
