1. Have your say on how to improve Victoria\u2019s Charter of Human Rights<\/p>\n

The Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006 (the Charter) protects <\/span>20 rights and freedoms of all people in Victoria.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/h2>\n

It requires state and local government authorities to respect and promote human rights when they serve the community.<\/span><\/h2>\n

<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Attorney-General, the Hon Martin Pakula MP, has appointed Michael Brett Young to conduct an independent review of the Charter and report back to the Government by<\/span><\/h2>\n

1 September 2015. The aim of the review is to see how the Charter could be improved and whether it meets the needs of all Victorian communities.<\/span><\/h2>\n
