Connecting with Law Short Film Competition<\/h2>\n<p>The Connecting with Law Short Film Competition is launching again for 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Open to all Australian law students, the Connecting with Law Short Film Competition is an opportunity for students to get creative, get their name known in law and be in the running to win great prizes.<\/p>\n<p>This year, students are invited to create a 2-5 minute film about what inspires them to study law, that will educate, entertain and engage their fellow law students and help them connect with law.<\/p>\n<p>Please find more information <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oup.com.au\/higher_education\/law\/connecting_with_law_short_film_competition?utm_source=academic-launch&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=CWL16&amp;_cldee=bWFyaWx5bi5waXR0YXJkQG1vbmFzaC5lZHU%3d\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Indigenous rights and international law (LAW5348) &#8211; Still spaces available in postgraduate unit<\/h2>\n<p>Led by Melissa Castan, this popular unit will examine the existing international law that promotes\/protects human rights and freedoms of Indigenous peoples and locate this law within their culture and traditions. The impact of the major international instruments that protect and promote the rights of Indigenous peoples will be discussed. Teaching period is 4, 6, 9, 11 and 13 May 2016, 9.30am \u2013 4pm Monash University Law Chambers. Assessment is by seminar participation: 10%, Literature review (equivalent to 800 words): 10%, Research paper (6,000 words): 80%. Taxation Law and Advanced Taxation Law<\/h2>\n<p>Considering an additional qualification?<\/p>\n<p>Two of our LLB(Hons) units (LAW4704 Taxation Law and LAW4332 Advanced Taxation Law) have been approved by the Tax Practitioners Board as approved courses in Australian taxation law that can count towards qualification as a registered tax agent.
