King &amp; Wood Mallesons launches Become App<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To coincide with the opening of this years\u2019 clerkship applications, King &amp; Wood Mallesons have created an app \u2013 KWM Become \u2013 which helps you navigate the process and ultimately secure the right clerkship for you. The app is free to download and provides unique insight into what life is really like at a leading commercial law firm, including actual examples of what junior lawyers do at KWM on a day to day basis.<\/p>\n<p>The app also includes a quick quiz to see if KWM is right for you along with regular updates throughout the application process and hints and tips about how to secure the right clerkship. Baker &amp; McKenzie: updated website and application process<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Applications for Baker &amp; McKenzie\u2019s Melbourne Summer Clerkship Program are open. Allens Adopts a Rare Approach to Recruitment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span>Allens is proud to be the founding partner of Rare\u2019s Contextual Recruitment System (CRS) In Australia. Allens is using this tool in its clerkship application process this year, and are keen to share information about the system with students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Rare enables us to view a candidate in context by offering a more complete picture of an individual\u2019s background, including socio-economic and family background, education experience and performance and culture. The CRS is used by all the magic circle firms in the UK. Menzies Memorial Scholarships<\/h2>\n<p>The Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation offers two post-graduate scholarships in law: the Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Scholarship in Law and the Sir Ninian Stephen Menzies Scholarship in International Law. Each is tenable at a prestigious overseas university.<\/p>\n<p>The foundation is looking for lawyers who wish to do postgraduate studies at an overseas university with the aim of developing their leadership, knowledge and skills for the benefit of others.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of application, candidates must hold a law degree with an academic record in law that is equivalent to a First Class Honours Degree (H1), normally from an Australian university.<\/p>\n<p>Both scholarships are valued at up to\u00a0<strong>AUD$75,000<\/strong> per year for one or two years.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are now open and close on\u00a0<strong>Wednesday 31 August 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For the full prospectus and to apply, see\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/menziesfoundation.org.au\/scholarships\/law\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>7.
