Inaugural Michael Taussig QC Family Law Essay Awards<\/h2>\n<p>The Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia is pleased to invite law students to participate in the inaugural\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.familylawsection.org.au\/news\/119-applications-now-open-for-the-michael-taussig-qc-family-law-essay-awards-for-2016\">Michael Taussig QC Family Law Essay Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Awards commemorate the life and contribution of Michael Taussig QC, one of the Family Law Section\u2019s most outstanding members.<\/p>\n<p>The Family Law Section is the largest of the Law Council&#8217;s specialist sections. Since its inception in 1985, the Section has developed a reputation as a source of innovative, constructive and informed leadership in all areas of family law reform and policy development. International Students Work Rights Legal Service<\/h2>\n<p>A new\u00a0<strong>International Students Work Rights Legal Service<\/strong> is now operating in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>JobWatch Inc, in collaboration with the Study Melbourne Student Centre and Inner Melbourne Community Legal, is operating this new legal service at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.studymelbourne.vic.gov.au\/help-and-advice\/the-law-and-your-rights\/legal-advice\">Study Melbourne Student Centre<\/a> <strong>every Thursday<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Study Melbourne Student Centre (SMSC) is a free and confidential \u2018one stop shop\u2019 where international students in Victoria can access a range of free support, information and welfare services.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the service, a JobWatch lawyer will be based at the Study Melbourne Student Centre\u00a0<strong>each Thursday<\/strong> from\u00a0<strong>9.00am until 5.00pm<\/strong> to give international students free and confidential legal advice about work-related matters.
