1. Aurora Internship Program<\/h2>\n
The Aurora Internship Program continues to place law, anthropology and other social science<\/div>\n
(namely archaeology, cultural heritage, environmental management, human geography, history and<\/div>\n
sociology) students and graduates from Australian universities at Native Title Representative Bodies<\/div>\n
(NTRBs), Prescribed Bodies Corporates (PBCs) and at other organisations involved in policdevelopment, research and social justice, all working to support the broader Indigenous sector<\/div>\n
Australia-wide. The Program introduces candidates to career opportunities in native title and the<\/div>\n
Indigenous sector and at the same time provides assistance to under-resourced and over-worked<\/div>\n
organisations.<\/div>\n
The on-line application period for the summer 2016\/17 round of internships open Monday 1 August<\/div>\n
2016 and close Friday 26 August 2016.<\/div>\n

2. Faculty Managed Internship: EcoPeace, Middle East, Israel<\/h2>\n

3. Shine a Light on Mental Health<\/h2>\n

Comedy, spoken word, music and dance will \u201cShine a Light on Mental Health\u201d<\/p>\n

Mental health issues touch everyone. That\u2019s why students, staff and friends of the Monash University Community are invited to an evening of musical performances and powerful stories raising awareness of them. With a focus on culturally diverse communities.<\/p>\n

Hilarious, award-winning comedian\u00a0Diana Nguyen<\/strong> (NAKED and Phi and Me) will host this inspiring event.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll hear reflections of\u00a0Professor Pat McGorry AO<\/strong>, Australian of the Year 2010 for his work in mental health. And those of\u00a0Jill Stark<\/strong>, best-selling author and journalist (High Sobriety: My Year Without Booze).<\/p>\n

Health advocate\u00a0Asiel Adan Sanchez<\/strong>, who moved thousands of people at the Federation Square vigil for the Orlando shooting victims, will also speak.<\/p>\n

And various entertainers will light up the night. Singers\u00a0Mel O\u2019Neill<\/strong> and\u00a0Natasha Weatherhill<\/strong>. Spoken word artist\u00a0Joel McKerrow<\/strong>. Dancers from the\u00a0Monash University Sri Lankan Cultural Club<\/strong> and the\u00a0Hellenic Students Society<\/strong>. To name a few!<\/p>\n

4. Volunteering Opportunities at Monash-Oakleigh Legal Service<\/h2>\n

You will be part of a team that provides advice to clients experiencing a wide rage of legal problems.<\/p>\n
