So if your schedule is tight, you can watch it in your own time.<\/p>\n<h2>5. Public lecture: Philippines&#8217; &#8216;War on drugs&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p>Filipinos overwhelmingly voted Rodrigo R. Duterte as president of the Philippines in May 2016 after he made a campaign promise to eliminate crime and illegal drugs in the first months of his administration.<\/p>\n<p>Even before he took office on June 30, 2016, the Philippine National Police launched Duterte\u2019s \u201cwar on drugs\u201d that saw hundreds of suspected criminals and alleged drug dealers gunned down in police operations.<\/p>\n<p>Running parallel with these operations are summary killings perpetrated by unidentified gunmen.
