Law Student Essay Awards<\/h2>\n<p>Applications are now open for the\u00a0Law Student Essay Awards<\/p>\n<p>The Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia is pleased to commemorate the life and contributions of Michael Taussig QC, one of the Section\u2019s most outstanding members, with two Family Law Essay Awards in 2018. Current law students are encouraged to apply for one of these awards, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familylawsection.org.au\/membership-information\/conferences-seminars\/event\/michael-taussig-qc-family-law-essay-awards-73\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Law Student Essay Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One Award will be offered to the value of $1,500.\u00a0 To Apply for the Award, eligible candidates must submit an unpublished essay of no more than 3,000 words (including footnotes, appendices and tables) on a family law topic and its broader relevance to the community, by <strong>20 August 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.familylawsection.org.au\/membership-information\/conferences-seminars\/event\/michael-taussig-qc-family-law-essay-awards-73\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Apply here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>2. Respect.Now.Always. survey<\/h2>\n<div>Monash University is a proud partner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/about\/respect-now-always\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Respect.Now.Always.<\/a> national initiative lead by Universities Australia to ensure students and staff are safe from sexual assault and sexual harassment.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The university is aiming to increase the awareness of reporting and support options for students who may have experienced sexual assault and\/or harassment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">To assist us evaluate the effectiveness of\u00a0Monash University&#8217;s\u00a0promotions of reporting and support options, and to have a better understanding of the level of awareness thereof,\u00a0the university has\u00a0developed a very short <a href=\"https:\/\/monash.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_dcYQCuLClO56ygt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">survey<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Responses will assist\u00a0the university enhance\u00a0our communications on the RNA campaign and the support and referral services available at Monash.\u00a0Please note that your responses to this survey will not identify you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/monash.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_dcYQCuLClO56ygt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learn more.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>5. Human Rights Awards<\/h2>\n<p>The Human Rights Awards is the pinnacle of human rights recognition in Australia.
