Diversity and Inclusion Week<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Event applications are now open for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/diversity-inclusion\/week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/diversity-inclusion\/week&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1559952217220000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHKU7qC6rfbzEfgrlUGsiYLsuXcFQ\">Diversity and Inclusion Week<\/a> (Monday 7 October &#8211; 11 October 2019). Zainab directs strategic litigation for clients with mental illness on death row.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Professor Rosemary Kayess<\/strong>\u2018 expertise in disability law was recognised in 2018 when she was appointed to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nyadol Nyuon<\/strong>\u00a0is a lawyer and activist who was awarded the Australian Human Rights Commission\u2019s\u00a0<em>Racism. It Stops With Me Award<\/em>\u00a0for her advocacy on behalf of the Australian-African\u00a0and Melbourne\u2019s South Sudanese communities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shukufa Tahiri<\/strong>\u00a0is a human rights activist and former refugee who was named by the Australian Financial Review as\u00a0one of its 100 Women of Influence for 2018.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kate Galloway<\/strong>\u00a0is a nationally recognised academic with expertise in sustainability and gender equality.
