The\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Death<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Penalty<\/span>\u00a0in Asia: In the academy, in the court, in the street<\/h2>\n<p>Please join us at this event for an analysis of the current state of the\u00a0<span class=\"il\">death\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"il\">penalty<\/span>\u00a0in Asia, guided by experts from the field.<\/p>\n<p>Over 20 countries globally continue to execute. Many of these countries are located in the Asian region (including China, Japan, Singapore, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Vietnam).\u00a0The\u00a0<span class=\"il\">death<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">penalty<\/span>\u00a0typically harms the very poor, and minority groups, including sexual minorities, foreigners and the intellectually impaired.
