Sir John Monash Medal &#8211; application date extension<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Please note:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The closing date for nominations for the Sir John Monash Medal has been extended to <strong>5:00 pm on Friday 28 February 2020.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Students who still have a deferred exam or pending summer A results are welcome to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each year, the Faculty of Law awards the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/law\/current-students\/resources\/assessments\/prizes\/sir-john-monash-medal\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/law\/current-students\/resources\/assessments\/prizes\/sir-john-monash-medal&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1579894245731000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGbdU6n1OIK6tmGkn5DRW65Gl1nbA\">Sir\u00a0John\u00a0Monash\u00a0Medal\u00a0for Outstanding Achievement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The\u00a0Sir\u00a0John\u00a0Monash\u00a0Medal\u00a0for Outstanding Achievement is awarded to a student who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">has completed the academic requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and is eligible to graduate;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">is judged to have an excellent academic record; and<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">has demonstrated a significant commitment to advancing the University&#8217;s goals of social justice, human rights and a sustainable environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">All nominations must include a letter from the nominator explaining the reason for the nomination and a statement from the nominee addressing how he\/she meets each of the eligibility criteria.
