Department of Justice and Community Safety- intern program<\/h2>\n<p>The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is <a href=\"https:\/\/jobs.careers.vic.gov.au\/jobs\/VG-2020LEGALINTERN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">now recruiting interns<\/a> to work over their winter and summers university breaks for three to eight weeks on full-time paid placements at its head office in the Melbourne CBD. Please note that part time hours may be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Perfect for students undertaking the penultimate year of a law or justice related degree (e.g. criminology), this is a rare opportunity to experience a compelling side of the legal profession outside private practice.<\/p>\n<p>The department&#8217;s interns will enjoy exposure to policy development, legal advice and high-profile public litigation, legislation creation and cabinet processes s.
