Research Assistant &#8211; Transnational Criminal Law Group<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>Transnational Criminal Law Group (TCLG)<\/strong>\u00a0is looking to recruit<strong> current Monash Law students (LLB, JD, LLM or PhD) <\/strong>as Research Assistant(s) to provide research and administrative support for the Group, and to undertake research and advocacy support tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are now open and close on <strong>Friday 31 July at 5:00pm<\/strong>. This is a paid position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the TCLG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Transnational Criminal Law Group is a <strong>research group in the Faculty of Law at Monash University<\/strong>. Our research addresses key challenges in criminal law and justice. Our work is doctrinal, socio-legal, and interdisciplinary, and is policy and practice-relevant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our research centres on these themes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>transnational corporate criminal liability and accountability<\/li>\n<li>transnational enforcement<\/li>\n<li>the criminal trial, including improving courtroom communication and practice<\/li>\n<li>criminal law and technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education Requirements <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The applicant must be a current student in the Faculty of Law (LLB, JD, LLM or PhD) and should have completed at least two years of law studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under the supervision of the Group Convenors, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide research and administrative support for the Group, including online events<\/li>\n<li>Undertake research and advocacy support tasks<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the Group\u2019s communications and publications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Selection Criteria <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong academic record and research skills<\/li>\n<li>Highly developed written and oral communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated time management and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience working in an administrative role<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience and\/or interest in criminal law\/justice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hourly pay: <\/strong>HEW Level 5 &#8211; $45.32 per hour<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Start and End Dates: 10 August \u2013 31 Dec <\/strong>2020 \u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please ensure that your application includes: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a 1-page cover letter explaining, based on the Key Selection Criteria, how you demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for the role<\/li>\n<li>a 2-page CV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please email your application: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to Prof. Liz Campbell, <a href=\"mailto:liz.campbell@monash.edu\">liz.campbell@monash.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<li>titled \u201cResearch Assistant &#8211; Transnational Criminal Law Group\u201d<\/li>\n<li>by <em>5pm Friday 31 July 2020<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>2.
