Sir John Monash Medal for Outstanding Achievement<\/h2>\n<p>Nominations are now open for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/law\/current-students\/resources\/assessments\/prizes\/sir-john-monash-medal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sir John Monash Medal for Outstanding Achievement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Sir\u00a0John\u00a0Monash\u00a0Medal\u00a0for Outstanding Achievement is awarded to a student who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Has completed<\/strong> the academic requirements for the degree of <strong>Bachelor of Laws (Honours)<\/strong> and is eligible to graduate;<\/li>\n<li>Is judged to have an <strong>excellent academic record<\/strong>; and<\/li>\n<li>Has demonstrated a significant commitment to advancing the University&#8217;s goals of <strong>social justice, human rights and a sustainable environment.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can self-nominate, nominate another student or get a nomination from a Monash staff member or a member of the community. Nominations close <strong>5:00pm AEDT<\/strong> <strong>Friday 26 February 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All nominations must include a letter explaining the reason for the nomination and a statement from the nominee addressing how he\/she meets each of the eligibility criteria. Please also provide any supporting information which could be of use to the selection committee and permission from the student to have his or her academic records released to the committee.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.monash.edu\/law\/current-students\/assessments\/prizes\/sir-john-monash-medal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Visit the website to complete your application<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A selection committee will review the nominations and make a recommendation to the Dean of Law, Monash University.<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced at the faculty prizes ceremony. The medal will also be awarded at their graduation ceremony and included on their official University transcripts.<\/p>\n<h2>2. PCL Lawyers Legal Scholarship 2021<\/h2>\n<p>Are you currently studying a Bachelor of Laws at university and you are in or heading into your final year?<\/p>\n<p>PCL Lawyers is offering two Law students with a WAM of 65 or more in their penultimate or final year a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcllawyers.com.au\/legal-scholarship-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">grant of $2000<\/a> each to assist them through the final stage of their degree.
