Coming soon: Medical and Renewable streams for the Master of Advanced Engineering

New specialisations for Master of Advanced Engineering (MAdvE)

Two new high demand specialisations are being added to the current offering of eight for semester one, 2017.*

Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering
The Master of Advanced Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering allows students to focus on sustainable energy technologies to address concerns about existing energy production. Students will learn about the operation, benefits and limitations surrounding each of the major renewable energy technologies that play a dominant role in the growth of the emerging energy sector. Entry will require a Bachelor of Engineering, however, it will not require a specific background in renewable and sustainable energy engineering.

Medical Engineering

The Master of Advanced Medical Engineering allows students to focus on engineering design and the development of medical technologies. The specialisation encompasses recent advances in biomaterials, bioengineering and medical devices and instrumentation. Students will develop a knowledge of the human body and its workings as well as of the fundamentals of regulation, clinical practice and clinical trials of medical technologies. Entry will require a Bachelor of Engineering, however, it will not require a specific background in medical engineering.

Country-specific entry requirements are the same for all streams of the Master of Advanced Engineering. If you’re not sure about requirements for your country, please contact:
