{"id":2428,"date":"2013-12-03T14:49:21","date_gmt":"2013-12-03T03:49:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test-blogs-monash-edu.pantheonsite.io\/rural-health\/?p=2428"},"modified":"2013-12-03T14:49:21","modified_gmt":"2013-12-03T03:49:21","slug":"research-bootcamp-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.monash.edu\/rural-health\/2013\/12\/03\/research-bootcamp-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Bootcamp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A reminder that registrations are due now to attend all or any of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.med.monash.edu.au\/intranet\/srh\/research-bootcamp.html\">Research Bootcamp<\/a> being held in January in Bendigo.<\/p>\n<p>In the last couple of weeks, we have been able to confirm the following speakers:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\u2022 Simon Barrett from the Monash Research Office will be presenting an interactive seminar on \u201cWorking in a team to produce publications and authorship\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 Professor David Perkins, Editor of the Australian Journal of Rural Health, will be joined by other editorial panel members to lead a panel session \u201cMeet with an editorial panel\u201d.<br \/>\n\u2022 HDR students will have the opportunity to meet with the Monash Postgraduate Association whilst the HDR supervisors have a meeting to discuss the School\u2019s HDR program<br \/>\n\u2022 Nicola Johnson from Monash University will present a session \u201cPublishing from your PhD\u201d<br \/>\n\u2022 Kaye Lassere from the Monash University Library will run a library workshop covering indexes, journal rankings, Google Scholar, EndNote tips and citations<br \/>\n\u2022 Luke McAvaney from the Monash University Research Office will be joined by colleagues from the La Trobe research office to discuss the best ways to find funding for your research project or fellowship or HDR scholarship<br \/>\n\u2022 Professor Michael Kingsley will be running a research speed dating session to hone your presentation skills<br \/>\n\u2022 The \u201cThesis Whisperer\u201d will be running a session on what makes a good publication<\/p>\n<p>Plans will continue to be finalised for each session so keep a watch on the website for new speakers.
