<\/strong>from Clayton.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Other winners were:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best campus participation<\/strong>:\u00a0 Bendigo<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teams from each campus who completed the challenge first<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clayton<em>: eSols &#8211; Spartans<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Caulfield: <em>Roadrunners<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Parkville: <em>The Walking Dread<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Peninsula: <em>MPARC Legends<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Berwick: <em>eSol Berwy Healthy<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Gippsland: <em>Unif(i)ed Steppers<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Bendigo: <em>The Itchy Feet Gang<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Alfred<em>: Lost in Pace<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Malaysia\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>The Infinite Walkers<\/em><\/li>\n<li>South Africa\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <em>Library Walkers<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At a lunch to celebrate the end of the event, guest of honour, Professor Edwina Cornish, Provost and Senior Vice-President, congratulated all participants for taking part.\u00a0\u00a0 She also highlighted the benefits of taking time out for activity, not just on physical wellbeing but also mental health and added that it helped to increase productivity.<\/p>\n<p>Academics from BASE (Be Active Sleep Eat), a world first centre at Clayton &#8211; Avoid dark coloured clothing; instead opt for  something white or similarly light-coloured. Hats are always a good idea  to keep the sun off your head.\u00a0 Always remember to wear sunscreen if  you\u2019re heading outside.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div id=\"_mcePaste\" style=\"width: 1px;height: 1px;overflow: hidden\">Social<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3><a name=\"sp4\"><\/a>Christmas Close Down Hours<\/h3>\n<p>Just a reminder to all our members and visitors \u2013 Monash Sport is closed for Christmas!<br \/>\nAll Monash Sport facilities and services will be closed from Saturday 21 December, 2013 to Wednesday 1 January, 2014 (inclusive), reopening Thursday 2 January, 2014.<br \/>\nWe hope everyone has a great holiday season and stays healthy and safe during the break.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"sp7\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"MsoNormal\">Stadium Change Room Update<\/h3>\n<p>Over  the past month we\u2019ve been busy with refurbishments to our stadium  change rooms in Clayton.\u00a0 We foresee the project being completed in  readiness for 2014.\u00a0 Upon completion, the refurbishment project will:<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-ash3\/1415245_10151853902898292_1730216246_o.jpg\" alt=\"change room update\" width=\"257\" height=\"192\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide an improved change and amenities environment for members and customers<\/li>\n<li>Respond to significant customer feedback regarding the current condition of the change rooms.<\/li>\n<li>Improve the provision of accessibility change facilities for people with a disability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In  the meantime, we thank all our members for their patience.\u00a0 We are  looking forward to delivering our members and customers significantly  improved change facilities in the near future.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"MsoNormal\">Fitness Connect<\/h3>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.monash.edu.au\/sport\/health-fitness\/fitness-connect.html\" target=\"_blank\">Fitness Connect<\/a> is a service which allows users to find and workout with someone of a similar fitness level and ability in exercise and\/or sport. Exercising with a friend makes working out more enjoyable with many studies indicating the benefits regarding motivation, support and exercise longevity. The service can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.monash.edu.au\/sport\/health-fitness\/fitness-connect.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"MsoNormal\"><a name=\"sp6\"><\/a><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Tennis $2 Happy Hour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Step away from your desk and onto  the court! Monash Sport is making this easier for you by introducing a  $2 Happy Hour during your lunch break!<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" dir=\"ltr\">All  Monash staff and students are able to play up to two hours of tennis at  the Clayton courts for only $2 per hour between 12-2pm Monday \u2013 Friday.  This works out to be over an 85% saving off the standard Non-Student  Off-Peak rate! He played 143 international caps and scored 51 goals for the Kookaburras between 2003 and 2008.<br \/>\nHe achieved gold medals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, the 2005 Champions Trophy in Chenai, the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and the 2008 Champions Trophy in Rotterdam. He also earned himself the silver at the 2007 Champions Trophy in Kuala Lumpur and bronze at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.<br \/>\nPeter Moore played 249 games in his AFL careers at Collingwood and Melbourne football clubs and scored a total 243 goals. He was awarded the Brownlow Medal in 1979 and 1984 and the Copeland Trophy in 1979 and 1980.<br \/>\nHe was Collingwood FC\u2019s leading goal kicker in 1977 and 1978 and was Collingwood captain between 1981 and 1982. Named in the All-Australian team in 1979, he was inducted into the AFL Hall of Fame in 2005 and named in the Melbourne FC\u2019s 150 Heroes in 2008.
