Open Day Ambassadors needed – Sunday 7th August
Applications for 2016 Campus Open Day Ambassadors are now live, and spots are filling up quickly! Monash is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated students to represent the university on one of the biggest days for prospective students and their families at both Clayton and Caulfield campuses. To get involved with Open Day, you just need to complete the following application form.
Once your application has been received, the Open Day Coordinators will be in touch with you to set up an interview time.
In return for your time and commitment, you will receive a Monash Student Ambassador hoodie to wear on the day (and keep!), and a free lunch and refreshments on the day. You will also receive recognition for your participation with an official Monash University certificate. Volunteering at Monash is a great way to build your professional skills, and can be added to your CV.

Security bus
Security buses operate on our Clayton and Caulfield campuses from 5.30pm to midnight, Monday to Friday, leaving about every 30 minutes. You can download the route and view the live tracker to see exactly where the bus is on campus when it’s operating.
Free Art time
Creating art relieves strss, improves creative thought and brain connectivity, boosts self esteem and your mental health. Bring your own art supplies, and be amongst others who will be sketching, using graphic programs, water colours and more.

Chinese Cultural Community Festival
There will be free activities, theatre performances and food stalls.
Where: Clayton Community Centre, 9 – 15 Cooke St, Clayton
When: May 7th. 12 to 4pm
Around the World
The ‘Around the World’ festival on 27th April, 2016.celebrated the cultural diversity at the Clayton campus. A total of 17 cultural clubs and societies contributed to the event by introducing their own cultural background, displaying traditional clothing, performing with traditional music instruments, etc.
Well done to MUISS (Monash University International Students Service) who organised the great day.
Also keep an eye on MUISS’ upcoming PR Seminar collaborating with YNJ Migration Consultants during week 10. Promotion will be up on social media soon!

If you need to break your lease before the end of the contract date what do you?
• Check your contract
• Give the proper notice period in writing (the biggest mistakes students do… and they struggle to get their bond back )
• If it is a fixed term contract then you will be liable for paying the remainder of the lease unless you find someone to replace you

We have very exciting news. The Salvation Army 614 The Couch – International Student Centre is moving to a new location in Carlton in April 2016. After seven years at 69 Bourke Street, The Couch will now have its own space at 324 Drummond Street, Carlton.
