Are you planning for a baby?
Ensure you’re informed and join our Pregnancy Information Session. Hear Dr Rimma Medres from Monash University Health Service discuss how to prepare for a pregnancy and the mode of pregnancy care in Australian hospitals. Allianz Global Assistance staff will also speak to you about how pregnancy impacts your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Parents, children and friends are welcome to attend. A light meal and drinks will be provided.

Festival fun – Join us for Cup Day on 6 November 

If a free a BBQ lunch, face painting, a jumping castle and unlimited popcorn sound appealing join us on Tuesday November 6 for Cup Day. Hosted by the International Student Engagement Team this will a fun-filled event for you and your family. Our team can’t wait to meet you. We’ll be opening up registrations soon so watch this space. Playdate with the MPA
If you’re a postgrad student with children and would like to meet other students who are parents, then you’re welcome to come along to a playdate at Crocs Indoor Playcentre. Spaces are limited so register soon.

Meet with other first time parents
Monash Council organises parent groups which enable first-time parents to meet in a supportive environment and learn valuable information. Groups are facilitated by qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses who are there to answer any questions you have. Find out more.

Melbourne Cup Family Day -Tuesday 6 November 

If you’re an international student who is here with your family, join us for our annual Melbourne Cup Day event. There will be food, games and activities for kids. Entry will be free but registration is essential. Look out for the registration link in our next newsletter.

International Student Childcare Rebate
If you’re a current international student at Monash University, you may be eligible to access a university funded rebate for your primary school aged child to attend the Monash University Clayton campus Vacation Care Program.

Camp Australia’s Vacation Care Program is a great way to keep your children entertained and engaged during the school holidays.

School holiday programs in the City of Monash
The City of Monash and Monash Public Library will be holding school holiday programs for the fast-approaching spring holidays. Places are limited so make sure to book in early! If your family is based outside of the City of Monash, this extensive list of school holiday programs put together by the Victorian government should be a huge help.
