Disability Standards for Education Review 2020
2020 Review of the Disability Standards for Education 2005 – Final Report
In 2020 the Disability Standards for Education 2005 was reviewed by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment.
The Review’s final report is now available on the department’s website. It is accompanied by a short summary document, which is available in Auslan, Easy Read, and 11 community languages.
Implementing the Review
Work to implement recommendations will be progressed by Australian Government and state and territory education and skills officials. Consultation and co-design with people with disability, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability, will inform implementation of the Review recommendations. Changes will also be made with help and advice from educators.
The Government has committed to publicly reporting each year on progress against implementing the Review’s recommendations. This will make it clear to the community what actions have been taken and where further work is required.
