- Location: Notting Hill office, Blackburn Road
- Estimated hours of work: Variable up to 20 hours per week
- Contract dates: March 2022 to December 2022
Team Structure / Background
The External Relations, Development and Alumni portfolio (ERDA) works collaboratively across the University to initiate, grow and steward strong person-to-person relationships with key stakeholders that support Monash University’s research and education endeavours.
In this role you will be:
- fundraising for scholarships for disadvantaged students and Monash research projects
- gathering information and updating contact information
- relationship building with Monash Alumni and the community
- collecting online payments and processing in a PCI compliant environment
- thanking donors for their contributions to Monash
To be successful in this role you will have:
- strong communication skills
- enjoyment in speaking to a wide range of people
- the ability to take on and implement feedback
- mental agility
- an interest in philanthropy and social welfare
- knowledge of Monash University, its faculties and initiatives.
- resilience and tenacity
- past fundraising or customer service experience is a bonus
Additional Information / Requirements
- legal ability to work in Australia
- clean criminal record
- expected graduation date must be beyond December 2022
Work Hours and locations
(note: times may vary throughout the year)
- Ability to work minimum 3 shifts per week and up to 20 hours when required
- Ability to work from home if necessary; Laptop, headset and mobile phone with internet will be provided
- Ability to work on campus (close to Clayton campus)
- Mon- Fri: 4 hour shifts typically between the hours of 12pm-8pm, Saturday: 9am-3pm (Alternating Saturday and Friday shifts may be offered depending on campaign requirements)
- The campaign operates between March – late December each year (times may vary) with closures during certain public holidays and exam periods.
- There is the possibility to continue working with the team in 2023 and beyond
