I am pleased to announce that both the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Services staff – Building and Metal Trades staff and Grounds and Gardening staff) 2005 and Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Services staff – Catering and Retail, Cleaning and Caretaking, and Miscellaneous services staff) 2005 were certified by Senior Deputy President Watson of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission on 29 November 2005. This follows the vote of approval by staff ballot for both Agreements, conducted on 24 November 2005.
The terms of the agreement are therefore now operative, including all the various staff benefits negotiated under the Agreements, including – enhanced parental leave entitlements; and – aggregate salary increase of 24.5% over 3 years
I would once again like to thank staff of the University for their support of the agreement and I look forward to the co-operation and assistance of the LHMU, CFMEU, CEPU and NTEU in their implementation.
