Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 1.5% salary adjustment and casual loading increase
In our global e-mail of 25 January 2010, Professor Adam Shoemaker, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and I advised that the implementation of the newly approved Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 would include:
- an immediate 1.5% salary increase effective from 7 November 2009; and
- an increase in casual loadings for academic and professional staff to 24% from 30 January 2010.
As you may be aware, the payment of the 1.5% salary increase to eligible academic and professional staff is being implemented today, 11 February 2010, inclusive of back-pay to 7 November 2009. The 1.5% salary increase and back-payment to 7 November 2009 will also be paid to trades and services staff in recognition of the progress achieved to date in the negotiation of a replacement agreement for the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Services Staff Building and Metal Trades Staff and Grounds and Gardening Staff) 2005.
The increase in casual loadings for academic and professional staff to 24% will also be paid from today. However, please note that any back-payment of the casual loadings increase only applies from 30 January 2010.
Should you require any further information or assistance regarding the new Agreement, please contact the staff of the Workplace Relations Branch on extension 29661 or via e-mail to ebfeedback@adm.monash.edu.au.
