Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Service Staff – Building and Metal Trades Staff) 2009 – approval by Fair Work Australia
I am pleased to advise that the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Services Staff – Building and Metal Trades Staff) 2009 has now been approved by Commissioner Gooley of Fair Work Australia to commence operation from 26 July 2010. This follows the approval of the Agreement in the staff vote conducted on 10 June 2010.
The implementation of the Agreement will include:
- Payment of salary increases of 16.5% over the life of the Agreement;
- The increase and automatic adjustment of special rates;
- An increase in the fortnightly Electrician and Plumber allowances to $30.00 from 26 July 2010; and
Significant improvements in parental and carer’s leave entitlements
I would once again like to thank the building and metal trades and services staff of the university for their support of the Agreement and look forward to their continuing support in the implementation of the Agreement.
