Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 – 2 per cent salary adjustment

April 20th, 2010

A message to all academic and professional staff at all Australian campuses from Ms Karen Haywood, Divisional Director Human Resources

Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 – 2 per cent salary adjustment

The Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Academic and Professional Staff) 2009 provides for a 2 per cent salary increase to eligible Academic and Professional staff with effect from the first full pay period to commence on or after 31 March 2010.

I am pleased to advise that this pay increase for eligible staff, including HEW 10A to HEW 10D staff on performance based contracts, is effective from 10 April 2010 and will be paid on pay day 22 April 2010.

The 2 per cent salary increase will also be paid to trades and services staff in recognition of the progress achieved to date in the negotiation of a replacement agreement for the Monash University Enterprise Agreement (Trades and Services Staff Building and Metal Trades Staff and Grounds and Gardening Staff) 2005.

The increase will not apply (at this stage) to staff at the most senior levels – executive staff and certain senior academic staff such as DVCs, PVCs and Deans. As per normal practice, staff at these levels will be considered separately prior to the end of the year.

Should you require any further information or assistance regarding the new Agreement, please contact the staff of the Workplace Relations Branch on extension 29661 or via email to ebfeedback@adm.monash.edu.au.
