A message from the former and current MUISS President
Hi everyone! I am Jason the outgoing President for MUISS.

This year, our MUISS committee has been particularly successful. In addition to all the fun events that we run such as our day trips, One World Festival, and Latino Night, we have also delivered professional development program such as PLACE, and conducted free breakfast in conjunction with other cultural clubs and societies.

Furthermore, we have worked extremely hard in advocating for international students’ rights and support. With the creation of an e-starterpack, we hope that new students will not find it as difficult to get started at Monash. In addition, our advocacy has ensured additional University’s commitment and resources being allocated to English Connect to expend their current offerings. We have also convinced the university to run, for the first time, a migration/visa consultation program which consists of one-on-one sessions as well as seminars.

2017 has been an amazing year for MUISS, and I have no doubt that the next executives for 2018 will be even better. Keep your eyes out for our exciting new events in 2018! It has been a pleasure to work for international students, and I wish all of you good luck in this exam period.
– Jason,  2017 MUISS President

Hi everyone. My name is Dion. I am the new President of Monash University International Student Services for next year 2018. Our goal is to strive for the rights and benefits for international students. In the future, we would like to provide more support for international students – including professional pathways, as well as fixing the gap and improving the relationship between international students and domestic students. Hope you have a good exam and look forward to seeing you next year!
