If you’re a current international student at Monash University, you may be eligible to access a university funded rebate for your primary school aged child to attend the Monash University Clayton campus Vacation Care Program.

School holiday programs in the City of Monash
The City of Monash and Monash Public Library will be holding school holiday programs for the fast-approaching spring holidays. Places are limited so make sure to book in early! If your family is based outside of the City of Monash, this extensive list of school holiday programs put together by the Victorian government should be a huge help.
Postgrad Parent Club

Meet with other first time parents
Monash Council organises parent groups which enable first time parents to meet in a supportive environment and learn valuable information. Groups are facilitated by qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurses who are there to answer any questions you have. Find out more.

What’s On for families
Activities for kids over the spring school holidays
- ACMI hosts a fun school holiday program for kids who want to try making their own films. Families can also visit ACMI’s Wonderland exhibition for a magical day out.
- Bookish kids aged from 12 to 15 will love building their creative skills at the State Library of Victoria’s free school holiday writing program.
- Parks Victoria’s Junior Rangers school holiday program is perfect for kids who love the great outdoors.
- AFL Victoria’s school holiday program introduces little athletes to the basic skills of Australian Rules Football. No experience necessary!
- Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Zoo and Healesville Sanctuary are all free for children under 16 on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
- Come and celebrate at the Royal Melbourne Show, which has been running for 170 years and includes fuzzy animals, live music, crazy rides, crafty markets and more!
- If the Melbourne Show is a bit expensive or too far to travel, the Doveton Show is a great alternative run by volunteers and supported by local businesses!
- The Chinese Museum showcases the heritage of Australia’s Chinese community and is heaps of fun for curious kids and adults alike.
