1. Help Protect Yourself From Identity Crime
The Tax office has issued the following advice to protect yourself from identity crime.
Our research has shown that international students are being targeted by perpetrators of identity crime. When a student’s identity is stolen, they stand to lose a lot more than they realise – their reputation, their money and their rights are all at risk.
The tax file number is a key part of an individual’s identity.
