Postgraduate Notices

1. Postgraduate Class Timetable is Available on MUTTS and Allocate+

The Postgraduate Student and Academic Services Unit is pleased to announce that as per August 2010 students enrolled in a postgraduate law program will be able to use MUTTS and Allocate+ to facilitate the processes of enrolment and re-enrolment.

What is MUTTS?

MUTTS is an online timetable system that allows students to view full timetables for all units offered by Monash, as well as plan and create personal timetables.

What is Allocate+?Allocate+ is an online allocation system that allows students to select preferred timeslots for units that have more than one stream (i.e. JD core units), change streams (i.e. JD core units), identify unit clashes as well as view confirmed class timetable.

Note: students will not normally be required to use Allocate+ to select preferred streams for a Master, Graduate Diploma or a Graduate Certificate unit as these postgraduate units usually only have one stream. Students will be automatically allocated to a unit at the time of enrolment.

JD students have been automatically allocated into streams for trimester 3, 2010, JD core units. However, students will be able to use Allocate+ to select preferred streams of JD core units as per Trimester 1, 2011.

Due to technical difficulties MUTTS and Allocate+ are not being used for the following two JD core units: LAW7212 Australian Legal System and LAW7079 Legal Research and Problem Solving.

MUTTS and Allocate+ can be accessed via WES – Web Enrolment System:

Please do not hesitate to contact the Student and Academic Services team if you need further information or have any feedback about online timetable systems:

2. Minor Amendment to Units

Pre-requisites and co-requisites of the units LAW7119 Patent for Inventions and LAW7452 Patent Practice, have been removed.

Students will be able to enrol in these units without having to complete the unit LAW7223 Overview of intellectual property.
