2. Monash Golden Key and MUISS Present ‘Your Community’

It’s time to stand up, discuss and resolve at ‘Your Community’ – a panel-style Q&A forum where all students can direct questions at esteemed panellists on issues relating to their student, local and national communities.

Date: Friday 15 April, 2011
Time: 12:00 – 1:30 pm
Venue: Lecture Theatre H5, Menzies Building

‘Your Community’ will be run by Monash Golden Key in conjunction with the Monash University International Students’ Society (MUISS). The theme of the event this year is ‘The Young Mind – What Plagues It?’ Within this theme, there will be five sub-topics up for discussion: Employment, University, Health, Culture and Personal Security.

The panellists:

  • Mr Lloyd England – Tutor and Student Experience Manager, Law Faculty (Host of the event)
  • Mr Conrado Guimaraes – CEO and Founder of the Asia-Pacific Youth Organisation (APYO)
  • Mr Adam Jaffrey – Founder and anti-violence evangelist of Step Back … Think
  • Dr Tangerine Holt – Director of International Education and Research at Monash University

Do you have a question relating to the above five sub-topics which you want to ask our panellists? Email them to community@monash.golden-key.org before the event and they may be read out on event day for our panellists to answer. Then attend as an audience member and take part in the discussion.

A $200 voucher will be up for grabs for the most interesting question as judged by the panellists! Free stuff will also be available for all attending students!

For further information please e-mail Richa and Matt at community@monash.golden-key.org.
