1. Information Sessions at MULC

Trish Hughes, the Learning Skills Adviser, is conducting some additional seminars at the City Chambers during Semester 2.  One stream  called ‘Beginning legal writing’ is intended for  first year JD students and the other called ‘Advanced writing seminars’ is intended for LLM and later-year JD students.

2. Insight Session – LSS and the JD Portfolio

This session will be of particular interest to those considering running for a 2011-2012 JD Portfolio position.

Presenter: John Thwaites, the former Deputy Premier of Victoria (1999 – 2007), Minister for Health, Minister for Planning, Minister for Environment, Minister for Water, Minister for Victorian Communities and Victoria’s first Minister for Climate Change.

5. Law Chambers Research Sessions on September 2 : Westlaw and Lexis Basics

Westlaw and Lexis are two of the world’s largest legal databases.  They contain hundreds of full text journals and primary sources from the UK, US, Canada and other jurisdictions. Sandra Pyke from the Law Library will be conducting sessions at the Law Chambers to help you get the best from these databases.

The sessions are aimed at later year JD students and LLM.

When: Friday 2 September 9 – 10 am or 12 – 1 pm
