1. The 6th University Scholars Leadership Symposium, August 1-7, 2015, Hong Kong

Humanitarian Affairs UK is looking for seven promising student leaders from Monash University with a drive to learn and an open mind to attend the 6th University Scholars Leadership (USL) Symposium.

The USL Symposium focuses on personal development, self-confidence and leadership skills. The weeklong conference includes international world class speakers, an opportunity for personal and professional growth and a platform for delegates to network with other inspirational youth from over 45 countries.

2015 Palestine Works Law Fellowship ( May – August 2015)

Palestine Works is a new US-based non-profit founded by diaspora Palestinians to promote Palestinian human development.

The Law Fellowship empowers law students and recent law graduates to protect human rights and promote development among Palestinians in occupied Palestine and Israel. The 23 Law Fellows in our 2014 class volunteered over 9,000 hours of legal support to our partner organizations and the Palestinian communities they serve.

3. Summer Semester Student Evaluation of Teaching and Units (SETU)  survey dates

Please note the following dates for the SETU surveys over the Summer Semester – your teachers should remind you to complete the online SETU surveys before the closing date  and hopefully  give you some time in class to do this – it won’t take more than 10 minutes or so.

The University will send reminders to  you to complete the SETU surveys until you have completed the surveys for ALL the Units in which  you  are enrolled.

  • T3-58 Units- already been evaluated as part of the S2 SETU survey – this affects some  LLM, JD and 3 Prof Prac Units
  • T4-57 Units – already been  evaluated as part of the S2 SETU survey –this affects some  LLM Units
  • Summer A Units – SETU survey opens on 22 Jan and closes on 19 Feb – this affects 4 x LLB Units
  • Summer SS S1-01 – SETU survey opens on 22 Jan and closes on 19 Feb –this affects  3 x LLB Prof Prac Units
  • SETU survey opens on 22nd Dec  and closes on 15 Jan   –this affects 4 x LLM  Units
  • Summer B Units – SETU survey opens on 22 Jan and closes on 5  Feb – this affects 8 LLB Units
  • T1-57 – SETU survey opens on 22nd Jan and closes on 19 Feb   –this affects 4 x LLM  Units.
