1. Does My Head Look Big in This? Muslim Student Life At Monash

Conversational English Programs organises a series of workshops and discussions on themes enhancing global competencies.

The first in the series of Global Citizens Workshops for this year is a panel discussion Does My Head Look Big in This? Muslim Student Life At Monash.

In this moderate panel discussion Monash female Muslim students will talk about their life on campus, challenges and practices.

2. New Externship Opportunity: LAW4803 VCAT Self Help Centre Externship

VCAT Self Help Centre Externship – A new clinical externship will be available from second semester 2015.

Students participating in this externship program will work with staff members of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) in its Self Help Centre.

Students will attend VCAT for one full day each week over a 12 week period, providing unrepresented parties with information about VCAT’s practices and procedures that will help parties make or defend claims in diverse areas such as planning and environmental, tenancy, consumer, guardianship, mental health, equal opportunity and building and property law.

Her Honour Judge Jenkins from the County Court of Victoria and Julie Grainger, Member and Deputy Head of Civil Claims List at VCAT will be speaking about this new externship opportunity.

Other guest speakers include Mr Tony Hoogeveen, CEO of the Supreme Court of Victoria and Bruce Dyer, Senior Consultant from Ashurst.

1. Applications still open for JD Professional Practice LAW 5050

Applications are still open for the Professional Practice Elective Unit which takes place at Monash-Oakleigh Legal Service, Clayton.

Applications for Clinical Period 3 (Group A & B- 14 May 2015- 13 August 2015 & 18 May 2015- 13 August 2015) close on 17 April 2015.

Applications are not done on Wes.
