1. Aurora Internship Program

The Aurora Internship Program places law, anthropology and other social science students and graduates at Native Title Representative Bodies (NTRBs), Prescribed Bodies Corporates (PBCs) and at other organisations involved in policy development, research and social justice, all working to support the broader Indigenous sector Australia-wide.

The Program introduces candidates to career opportunities in native title and the Indigenous sector and at the same time provides assistance to under-resourced and over-worked organisations.

The on-line application period for the Winter 2016 round of internships closes on Friday 1 April 2016.

2. $32,000 Chinese University Hong Kong scholarship

Nearing the end of your degree and considering LLM/Masters? It could take you to Hong Kong.

Applications are now open for the Master of Laws Global Scholarship 2016-17 at the Chinese University Hong Kong (CUHK) Faculty of Law.

Positions are available for 3 students globally to study in the LLM programme in 2016-17.

Each scholarship is worth up to HK$191,120 (approx. AUD$32,000), covering basic tuition fees and a living stipend.

3. English Language Assistance

The English Connect program is Monash’s new English language assistance program. It is aimed at international undergraduate and postgraduate students. English Connect is an expanded version of the Conversational English program trialled last year.

A new website will be up soon, but at the moment, program dates and times can be found on the old website here.

The free programs consist of:

  • Let’s Chat – conversation in a fun environment – 1 hour each week over weeks 3-11, with over 40 sessions per week offered
  • Peer Support – one on one help with academic English (written and oral), 20 minutes, no need to book. Held at John Medley Library, Mon-Thurs 10am to 2pm
  • Workshops – Grammar workshops, 2 hours, register online

4. Faculty Managed Internship Opportunity – Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) Internship

Applications are now open and close Thursday 14 April 2016 for a three month internship from September to November 2016.

5. King’s College London Pathway Opportunity

Would you like to graduate with a qualification from Monash University and King’s College London?

The Faculty of Law offers a pathway opportunity to study the Master of Laws (LLM) at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London (King’s) for outstanding Monash students enrolled in either:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB); or
  • Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) (JD).

If successful, you will begin your studies at King’s in September/October. At that time you must have no more than four (4) elective units left to complete in your Monash qualification.

7. International Trade and Business Law Review – request for submissions

The Editorial Board of the International Trade and Business Law Review (‘the Review) are now inviting submissions for Volume XX of the Review.

The Review publishes leading articles consisting of original research, case notes, comments, and book reviews concerning international trade and business law, arbitration law and comparative law.

Academic staff and students now have the opportunity to make a submission to the Review.
