1. Time management and procrastination: Leap into Leadership online

We know it’s hard to manage your time while at university. Balancing study, work, volunteering and other responsibilities can be stressful.

Now is the perfect time to get organised and develop your skills.

That’s why Monash has created Time Management and Prioritisation, a free online module for all students.

You’ll learn how to stay focused and avoid procrastination, create an effective to-do list and delegate to your team. It only takes about one to two hours to complete the module, and you’ll receive a personalised certificate and resource pack when you finish.

Time Management and Prioritisation is just one module offered in Leap into Leadership Online: a suite of interactive modules you can complete any time, at any stage of your studies. With modules on communication, teamwork, goal-setting and more, there’s plenty of topics to suit you.

4. RUOK? Day at Clayton

This Thursday is RUOK? Day, an important initiative encouraging all people to stop and have a conversation with their friends and family about mental health.

The biggest killer of young people is suicide, and so the RUOK? Day Foundation aims to raise awareness about mental illness and encourage individuals to speak out, working towards removing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Your LSS is teaming up with Monash University and the Law Faculty to provide a day of activities. A BBQ will occur on the South One lawn from 12.00pm, with free snags, burgers and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. In the Law basement, the three-minute angels will be performing massages from 11.00am.

And most importantly, it’s Boof’s birthday. Boof is the therapy dog who visits the Law Building every Thursday and this Thursday, we’re having a birthday party, and some of Boof’s friends are coming to join in the celebrations.

So come down and have a chat with your reps, learn more about how you can battle mental illness and relax.
